About the Bob James Art of Wine Collection
As a mainstay of the contemporary jazz scene for 25 years, Bob James is literally compelled to create music that is prolific, innovative, inspired, and aesthetic. This compulsion frequently travels beyond Bob’s favorite canvas called Jazz to other mediums such as the visual arts, and of course, wine appreciation. About Bob
Multiple Grammy winner Bob James has enjoyed an illustrious and critically acclaimed musical career from his first album, Bold Conceptions, in 1963 through his latest release in February 2006, Urban Flamingo. As a songwriter, producer, and pianist, Bob James is considered not only the master of the smooth jazz genre, but also the definition of jazz, pop, blues, and world crossover. Most well known for the theme from the hit TV program Taxi, Bob has also collaborated with other giants in the music industry including Quincy Jones, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Earl Klugh, and countless others.
